Established in 2012, ADK Stables is a beautiful 100 acre farm located just 10 minutes north of the 401 in the Township of Stone Mills (between Kingston and Belleville).
We provide lessons for all ages, experience levels and goals with programs for the recreational and competitive rider. Our ever growing show team can be seen both at our local schooling and the Silver Hunter/Jumper circuit.
We work hard to maintain an extremely high reputation for the quality of our facilities.
We'd love to show you around our facilities, and meet our horses.
Like so many successful horsewomen, Danielle grew up with a passion for horses and riding and took advantage of any opportunity to learn good horsemanship skills. She has worked at various grand prix barns and lesson stables, while continuing to develop her riding skills with regular lessons and clinics. Danielle trained under the guidance of Eve Mainwaring, Hugh Graham and Roberto Teran.
After travelling and gaining valuable knowledge while working under some well-known trainers, Danielle decided to settle down in her hometown in order to establish her own barn. Danielle took a few years searching for the right location, freelance coaching and competing herself during that time. Danielle along with her horse High Hopes 3e competed on the Trillium circuit in the 3'6 Hunters, 1.10m Jumpers and Derbies. In 2012 ADK opened its doors to boarders, horses for training and lesson students of all ages/experiences levels.
Danielle now enjoys coaching her students, training her clients' horses both at home and at the horse shows, and is eagerly waiting for her next hunter prospect to finish growing up!
With Danielle's love of equitation and her desire for perfection, everything at ADK Stables starts with a solid foundation of the basics. Danielle's lesson program is tailored to equitation, hunters/jumpers and low level dressage, alternating lessons between jumping and flat work to develop well rounded riders. Danielle continues to try to attend clinics and lessons with other coaches in order to continue to expand her own knowledge and bring back new teaching techniques to her lessons.
In addition to coaching, Danielle has a strong love for training horses and ponies. Danielle is always accepting horses and ponies on training board.
She can also offer her knowledge and experience to those searching for their own partner. Danielle can offer help both buying and selling with tools to market horses and multiple connections in Ontario.
Danielle works hard to maintain an extremely high reputation for the quality of our facilities and our lesson program at ADK Stables.
Younger sister of Danielle, Kaylee has been an integral part of ADK from day one.
Kaylee is currently at Ottawa University enjoying her post-secondary education. Kaylee is continuing her development as a rider under the guidance of Mark Struthers, Lauren Hunkin & Angela Erickson with the Ottawa U Equestrian Team.
Kaylee currently isn't a part of our day to day operations but when home fills in wherever needed: chores, riding and welcoming our new riders, teaching them the basics of horsemanship outside the ring.
We are excited to have Kaylee joining us regularly on weekends during our 2019 show season to groom and help prep our show teams!
